Real science. Discovered through play.
Arludo is the free STEM platform where kids experiment like real scientists, meet real scientists, and come home talking about what they discovered. Trusted by 1,200 Australian schools and 1000+ parents.

This is what happens when play becomes science

Kids play
Our games aren’t just fun. They’re designed so that scientific thinking is the only way to succeed. Kids form hypotheses, run experiments, and interpret data all without ever being told that’s what they’re doing.

They discover
Kids discover something real. Why a creature evolved that adaptation. How is energy is transferred. What engineers do to solve a problem. The discovery comes from play, not instruction.

You complete the loop
This is where your role matters most. A short conversation after play is what turns a discovery into understanding. That's because students have context and a result they care about.
Everything is free. No exceptions.
Every lesson. Every game. Every challenge. Every scientist. Every career. Free for every student.
Every game

Our challenges are complete learning experiences, not just activities. Students investigate, design, and submit. Teachers get everything they need to run them.

The Adaptations Challenge
Years 3-6
Investigate how animals have evolved to survive. Students use Arludo’s tools to explore adaptation in action — then submit their findings for a chance to win a year’s Science Portal subscription.

The Game Design Challenge
Years 3-6
Design a game based on scientific principles. Students learn design thinking, engineering concepts, and creative problem-solving while making something real.

The Invertebrate Conservation Challenge
Years 3-6
Explore why invertebrates matter and design solutions to protect a local ecosystem. Combines biology, ecology, and environmental science.

From the Learning Islands to the Career Constellations, every part of Arludo is designed to feel like discovery, not homework.
Curriculum-aligned science adventures. Each island explores a different concept through challenges and mini-experiments. Kids explore at their own pace and have fun doing it.

Built on a decade of real research
Arludo was created by Professor Michael Kasumovic, an evolutionary biologist at UNSW Sydney. His research explores how digital interactions affect their confidence, competence, and sense of identity. This research underpins everything Arludo does. Michael also works with researchers across Australia to ensure Arludo benefits the most students.
